L’une des toutes premières version du célèbre Ha ! Çà ira, ça ira du chansonnier Ladré sur la musique de la contredanse de Bécourt Le Carillon national. Au départ, l’essentiel du texte est très optimiste : « Ah ça ira, ça ira ! Pierrot et Margot chantent à la guinguette ! Ah ! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira ! Réjouissons nous, le bon temps reviendra »
Très vite cependant, des versions plus pessimistes et violentes se diffusent : « Ah ça ira, ça ira, ça ira ! Les aristocrates à la lanterne. Ah ! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira ! Les aristocrates on les pendra. » Ici une version enregistrée par Edit Piaf en 1953 sur un arrangement de Jean Françaix pour le film Si Versailles m’était conté… de Sacha Guitry
